As an athlete, I am extremely interested in the benefits of CBD oil.
I’ve heard all sorts of great things about it. Supposedly, CBD oil helps to improve stamina, resilience and performance. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to add CBD to my fitness routine. I started with some research. I wanted to make sure if CBD oil was even legal in my state. Even though cannabidiol doesn’t contain any of the intoxicating properties associated with THC, it is derived from the cannabis plant. The legality of it falls into a confusing gray area. I figured out that I could order full spectrum CBD oil online and have it delivered to my home. I was then interested in whether or not CBD oil would help me recover from a workout more quickly. I know that it is readily absorbed, well tolerated and low risk. I have learned that CBD works in tandem with the endocannabinoid system and impacts specific neurotransmitters and hormones in the body. The endocannabinoid system is made up of two types of cannabinoid receptors. CBD oil significantly impacts the CB2 receptors, which are mainly located in the central nervous system. Because of this, CBD oil helps to reduce both pain and inflammation. High intensity workouts often result in pain, inflammation and muscle damage. The post-workout routine is an extremely important aspect. More and more people are discovered that adding CBD oil to their regular program has enhanced and quickened the recovery process. When put through the stress of a workout, the body produces a hormone called cortisol. This hormone reduces protein synthesis and can prevent the growth of new tissue. It inhibits new muscle growth and may even increase the amount of fat stored in the body. CBD oil regulates how much cortisol is released into the system, allowing protein synthesis and promoting muscle regeneration.
